Safer At Home Begins April 27

Governor Polis has announced that Colorado will shift to a “Safer-At-Home” policy when the current Stay-at-Home policy expires on April 26th. (Read the full news article.) This shift does NOT mean life will return to the pre-COVID normal. However, personal services and businesses will begin to re-open. Social distancing, wearing masks in public, and other guidelines will remain in effect.

The gradual re-opening will not apply to schools. Remote learning will continue through the end of the 2019-2020 school year. New America College will continue to coordinate with the Governor’s office, the Denver Department of Public Health and Environment (DDPHE) and the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE). We will keep you informed regarding plans for summer and fall classes.

Beginning May 6th, face masks will be required inside or in line for essential businesses, health care facilities, and public transportation in Denver. News article
