Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Denver!

Don’t forget to wear your green this weekend! It is a tradition here in the USA to pinch your friends who are not wearing something green! St Patrick’s Day festivities kick off Saturday in lower downtown, Denver.

The annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade is a Denver tradition. The 2019 Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. from the Coors Field parking lot before following a route along Wynkoop, 17th Street, and Blake Street, before ending at 27th Street. A fun, family-friendly St. Patrick’s celebration of Irish culture will take place Saturday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Littleton. The festival features a petting zoo, craft fair, Irish dancers, face painting, crafts for kids, presentation on St. Patrick and ancient Celtic Christianity, games and more. If you’re in the mood for something a little more active, The 31st Annual Runnin’ of the Green begins St. Patrick’s Day Sunday in LoDo in front of Union Station. The family-oriented, race/walk begins at 10:15 a.m., with on-site registration opening at 7 a.m. The race, which raises funds for Volunteers of America, also features a post-race party and Irish celebration of St. Patrick’s Day and spring. The Lucky Laces 1M, 5K and 10K races will be staged Saturday between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. The races will be conducted at Denver’s City Park, the same site as last weekend’s Lucky Charm races. A Lucky Laces after-party will have live Irish music, refreshments and more. Race registration can be completed online.
